Indian benchmark indices are likely to open higher on Tuesday after BJP win assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, while firm cues from Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange and positive trend across global peers may boost gaining momentum. Markets across Asia were trading in green after Wall Street ended higher in overnight trade as optimism increased about the likelihood of lower corporate tax rates as the Republican tax bill moved closer to passage, Reuters reported. Back home, firm trend in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for December delivery, which were trading at 10,420.50, up by 20 points.
