* AGRICULTURE: The Maharashtra government has sought the Centre's approval to raise 200 bln rupees from the market through the sale of bonds to waive farm loans.

* AUTOMOBILE: Toyota Motor plans to add 10 battery-operated electric vehicle starting 2020 and India will be one of the first few markets to get the electric vehicle. Toyota has lost a legal battle in the Supreme Court for the exclusive trademark rights over 'Prius', the name of its first mass-produced hybrid car.

* AVIATION: Airport Authority of India is in the process of conducting a seven-month long assessment of air traffic at key Indian airports.

* BANKING: The government is likely to start issuing recapitalisation bonds in January to infuse extra capital into public sector banks, and may issue around 700 bln rupees worth of these bonds by March.

* COAL: The coal ministry has formed a task force to examine the possibilities of using carbon
capture and utilisation technology on emissions from coal-based plants, Secretary Susheel Kumar said.

* CORPORATE: Criminal prosecution complaints related to shell companies have been filed in 47 cases.

* INFRASTRUCTURE: Transport ministry to seek separate budgetary allocation of 50 bln rupees to introduce government-owned electric bus fleets and build bus ports across the country, Road Minister Nitin Gadkari said.

* PHARMACEUTICALS: National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority said it has notified prices of 65 essential formulations, including those used for the treatment of diabetes, infections, pain and high blood pressure.

* TELECOMMUMNICATION: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India issued a draft regulation seeking comments on reducing the charges for mobile number portability from 19 rupees now.
