The key domestic benchmark stayed under selling pressure in late morning deal on Wednesday as traders resorted to profit booking in absence of any major trigger on domestic and global front. Rate sensitive stocks such as, realty, auto and financial, saw hefty selling amid looming fear that US Federal Reserve may hike interest rate in the next meeting. Traders keenly awaited the outcome of the state election results for more clarity on the government's capacity to revive stalled reforms.

At 12:25 hours, the 30-share barometer index of Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex 28139.14, down by 200.17 points or by 0.71 per cent, and the NSE Nifty was at 8735.9, down by 56.4 points or by 0.64 per cent.

In the day’s trade so far, the BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 28382.32 and intraday low of 28128.56, while the NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 8807.9 and intraday low of 8728.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 446.00,-8.38%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 629.00,-3.25%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 459.95,-2.60%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 280.70,-1.47%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 3117.95,-1.37%), among others.

On the flip side, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1309.05,+0.54%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 272.25,+0.54%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1052.20,+0.38%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1314.90,+0.33%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 370.15,+0.31%), were among top gainers on BSE.

On the sectoral front, all the thirteen indices were bleeding in red while realty and auto stocks were leading the decline, falling as much as 3.34 per cent and 2.29 per cent respectively.

The market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2817, shares advanced were 619 while 2062 shares declined and 136 were unchanged.

The key domestic benchmark indices were trading flat with marginally losses in late morning deal on Thursday, as investors digested the impact of Union Budget, while weak cues from fellow Asian peers further dented market sentiments. Index heavyweight Tata Motors falls over 2 per cent after the auto major said that its passenger and commercial vehicle total sales (including exports) in January 2017 were at 46,349 vehicles, a decline of 1 per cent over 47,035 vehicles sold in January 2016.

At 12:30 hours, the 30-share barometer index of Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex was at 28131.4, down by 10.24 points or by 0.04 per cent, and the NSE Nifty was at 8699.8, down by 16.6 points or by 0.19 per cent.

In the day’s trade so far, the BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 28194 and intraday low of 28070.81, while the NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 8727 and intraday low of 8685.8.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1265.95,-2.39%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 530.75,-2.02%), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 1391.00,-1.69%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 2815.65,-1.44%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 3237.45,-1.42%), among others.

On the flip side, Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 355.40,+3.00%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. (Rs. 3060.00,+2.11%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 935.70,+2.09%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 173.85,+1.93%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 484.00,+1.70%), were among top gainers on BSE.

On the sectoral front, metal and auto stocks were among top losers, falling as much as 0.98 per cent and 0.97 per cent respectively.

The market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was strong. On BSE out of total shares traded 2746, shares advanced were 1399 while 1217 shares declined and 130 were unchanged.

The Indian benchmarks extended their day’s loss in late morning deal on Monday, weighed down by loss in realty and metal stocks, tracking mixed cues from fellow Asian peers. The lingering worries over the impact of demonetization of higher value currency notes and hints of a rate hike in December by US Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen, curbed appetite for riskier assets.

At 12:15 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 25807.35, down by 342.89 points or by 1.31 per cent, and the NSE Nifty was at 7966.75, down by 107.35 points or by 1.33 per cent.  

Investors are worried that demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to curb black money may severely hit small and medium sized businesses that mainly run on cash while also take a toll on short-term discretionary spending.

In the day’s trade so-far, Sensex touched an intraday high of 26270.28 and intraday low of 25777.21, while the NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 8102.45 and intraday low of 7943.4.

In line with benchmark indices, the broader markets were also bleeding in red, with the BSE MIDCAP trading at 11797.05, down by 275.38 points or by 2.28 per cent, while the BSE SMLCAP was at 11542.33, down by 326.61 points or by 2.75 per cent.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 247.55,-5.08%), State Bank of India (Rs. 262.95,-4.62%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 369.10,-4.15%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 455.10,-3.38%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1201.90,-3.00%), among others.

On the flip side, Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 443.00,+1.35%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 924.30,+0.49%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2131.00,+0.37%), GAIL (India) Ltd. (Rs. 428.05,+0.16%), were among top gainers on the BSE.

On the sectoral front, realty and metal stocks emerged as top losers, falling as much as 4.11 per cent and 2.93 per cent respectively.

The market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2599, shares advanced were 404 while 2057 shares declined and 138 were unchanged.

Trigged by sharp sell-off in consumer durables and realty stocks, the key domestic benchmark indices stayed under selling pressure in late morning deal on Friday, tracking a mixed trend across markets in Asia as investors ponder over what the priorities for the new US President Donald Trump and his administration will be, curbing risk taking appetite. 

At 12:18 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 27063.6, down by 454.08 points or by 1.65 per cent, and the NSE Nifty was at 8377.3, down by 148.45 points or by 1.74 per cent. 

In the day’s trade so-far, Sensex touched an intraday high of 27344.85 and intraday low of 27045.09, while the NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 8460.6 and intraday low of 8372.8. 

In line with benchmark indices, the broader market were bleeding in red with the BSE MIDCAP was at 12573.89, down by 357.69 points or by 2.77 per cent, while the BSE SMLCAP was at 12607.94, down by 318.84 points or by 2.47 per cent. 

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2986.50,-5.03%), GAIL (India) Ltd. (Rs. 430.25,-4.24%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 281.95,-4.00%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 5123.70,-3.78%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 281.75,-3.69%), among others. 

On the flip side, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 699.25,+4.84%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 276.80,+0.33%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1278.00,+0.14%), were among top gainers on the BSE. 

On the sectoral front, consumer durables and realty stocks emerged as top losers, falling as much as 4.59 per cent and 4.39 per cent respectively. 

The market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2579, shares advanced were 441 while 1999 shares declined and 139 were unchanged.

The Indian stocks continued to witness selling pressure in late morning deal on Monday, led by losses in banking and FMCG stocks, tracking a sell-off across markets in Asia and a negative finish at Wall Street on Friday.

At 12:15 PM, the Bombay Stock Exchange bellwether Sensex was at 28462.58, down by 205.64 points or by 0.72 per cent, and the NSE Nifty was at 8776.15, down by 55.4 points or by 0.63 per cent.
