Indian equities are likely to open higher on Thursday, tracking firm cues from Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange and positive trend across Asian markets as traders anticipated progress on tax reform in the US. In the overnight trade, Wall Street ended lower as investors weighed President Trump comment about a shutdown of his government if the US Congress fails to fund a Mexico border wall. Back home, firm trend in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for August delivery, which were trading at 9,866.50, up by 11.50 points
