Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty seen opening flat on Monday

Indian benchmarks are expected to start the day on a flat note on Monday. Trends on SGX Nifty also indicate a flat to negative opening for the domestic bourses. Nifty futures were trading around 11,291-level on the Singaporean Exchange. Investors will be eyeing corporate results, global developments, and macro data today for further direction. A total of seven companies, including Hindustan Unilever Limited, are scheduled to announce their September quarter results today. Traders will also track the wholesale price (WPI) and consumer price (CPI) inflation prints for September, slated to be released today. Investors will further react to Infosys' Q2 numbers announced post market hours on Friday. The IT firm reported a 9.8 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in revenue to Rs 22,629 crore while net profit fell 2.2 per cent YoY to Rs 4,019 crore. On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 38127.08 up by 246.68 points or by 0.65 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11305.05 up by 70.5 points.
