Indian equities are likely to continue their gaining momentum on Wednesday after Ram Navami holiday yesterday, tracking firm cues from Asian markets. Bullish trend in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for April delivery, which were trading at 9,280.00, up by 6.00 points or 0.06 per cent, at 10:52 AM Singapore time, also signaled a positive start for Sensex. The banking stocks will remain in focus ahead of the Reserve Bank policy review, while experts expect no change in rates, but outlook for the next one year, including NPA resolution and liquidity management, would be key elements. However, the Yogi Adityanath-led UP government’s decision to write off crop loans worth Rs 36,000 crore would weigh on market sentiment. Shankara Building Products, who raises Rs 350 crore through initial public offering (IPO), will remain in focus as it will make its debut on BSE and NSE today.
