At 1:14 hours, the 30-share barometer index of Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex was at 28,993.6, up by 15.58 points or 0.05 per cent while the NSE Nifty was at 8,938.05, down by 4.95 points or 0.06 per cent.
Buying momentum was witnessed mainly in the realty, public sector undertaking, healthcare and IT sector stocks
Meanwhile, BHEL, ONGC, GAIL and SpiceJet will reveal their April-June 2016 quarter earnings later in the day.
On the global front, Asian markets were mixed as traders weighed weaker-than-expected US services data which raised speculation that the Fed may keep lower interest rates for longer.
