Pre-Session: Soft opening seen for Sensex, Nifty; NBFC Shares in focus

Indian equities may open higher on soft note on Wednesday, tracking bearish trends in SGX Nifty Index Futures and muted cues from global peers. However, bank and NBFC stocks are likely to be in focus following the appointment of Shaktikanta Das as the new RBI governor. Overseas, the Asian stocks were trading mostly higher as US President Donald trump sounded upbeat about a trade deal with China, following a mixed closing at Wall Street in overnight trade. US stocks closed mostly lower Tuesday in a session that saw the key indexes weave in and out of positive territory as investors weighed mounting political tension in the nation's capital against renewed optimism over US-China trade talks. Back home, bearish trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for December delivery, which were trading at 10,596.00, down by 4.00 points.
