Pre-Session: Soft opening seen for Sensex, Nifty; Glenmark Pharma, GAIL (India) shares in focus

Indian equities may open higher on soft note on Friday, tracking bearish trends in SGX Nifty Index Futures and muted cues from global peers. Overseas, the Asian stocks were trading mostly lower, following a muting closing at Wall Street in overnight trade, after the Federal Reserve decided to hold short-term interest rates steady at 2-2.25 per cent on Thursday. Back home, bearish trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for November delivery, which were trading at 10,582.50, down by 33.50 points
